Too late, or an early start?

December 13, 2012 - Rob Weaver
Although voters rejected a state issue last November that would have altered how legislative districts are crafted, the possibility of reform yet exists.

The Ohio Senate approved a resolution Thursday that would change the way Ohio's legislative and congressional districts are drawn. The proposal would charge a bipartisan seven-member commission with the task of establishing district boundaries, with a bipartisan approval required to make the maps official.

The House would need to vote on the resolution, however, and Thursday was the final day for the current legislature to meet. Hopefully, the plan will be taken up again during the next session.
