H-L first half thoughts

First off, I'm not at the game, but rather watching the SportsTime Ohio broadcast. It's pretty decent, although the announcers referred to the Blue Jays as "St John's Delphos" a few times.

Hopewell-Loudon is losing at the half, 21-14. The bad news is that DSJ QB Wes Ulm and the Blue Jays get the ball to start the second half. The good news is H-L coach Brian Colatruglio is very good at making halftime adjustments. After all, H-L is in a much better spot at the half than one year ago.

-Ulm is almost like a snake out there. I saw him play against Carey, but he's been much more explosive than I remember. There have been times where the Chieftains look to have him stopped, but he'll break a tackle and go for five more yards.

- Brown is only 7 of 18 passing in the first half, a surprising number considering he completed 72 percent of his passes this year.

- Should be an interesting second half. The big thing will be if H-L's defense can contain Ulm in the second half, and force him to win the game with his ar. Ulm can pass, but it's a problem if DSJ starts running with the lead.
