| | College Town Players of the WeekFebruary 21, 2009 - Zach BakerTiffin's player of the week is sprinter Anthony Thomas, who finished first in the 200 meter dash and second in the 60 at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships in Findlay Saturday. Thomas ran the 200 in 21.97, and the 60 in 6.85, one-hundreth of a second behind the first-place finisher. Thomas' effort helped the Dragons finish second in the men's rankings, behind only Cincinnati. Tiffin's score bettered GLIAC rival Ashand and Division I Toledo. Thomas is a junior from Cleveland. On Heidelberg's side, junior guard Jim Smalley gets the nod after a 21-point performance against Otterbein Saturday and a 13-point effort against Capital Wednesday. His efforts paced an 88-75 win over Otterbein, which clinched a spot for Heidelberg in the OAC Tournament. His performance against Capital helped the Student Princes almost knock off No. 11 Capital.
