| | Hill comes home, takes over TU menApril 9, 2009 - Zach BakerJohn Hill graduated from Columbian and Heidelberg, becoming a standout basketball player with each program. He then moved on to coach Heidelberg's men't basketball team, where he attained a school record 357 wins. Now, after spending the last seven years as the athletic director at Shenandoah University in Virginia, Hill is coming back to his hometown, taking over the Tiffin University men's basketball program. TU's program has struggled in recent years. In three seasons under Rodney Martin, the Dragons won just 10 games. Hill is in the Columbian and Heidelberg athletic hall of fames. He was the athletic director bfor Heidelberg for more than a quarter century. Among his hires at Heidelberg was baseball coach Matt Palm, who later became the school's AD himself.
