Update

I am sitting at my computer in front of the window, and watching the stormy rain lash at the garden. It particular it is beating on my roses, which is the worst thing right now. Next Saturday is my son's wedding, and the table decorations are supposed to feature white roses. Yes, the ones that are (or were) growing all over the front of the house, up the garage wall, and on two trellises. The sidewalk and front garden are a mess of fallen petals; maybe I should change direction and feature soggy white rose petals instead! I hope there are enough buds that new ones will be blooming next week.
