Heidelberg bests Westminster, 42-26

September 5, 2009 - Zach Baker

Heidelberg has beaten Westminster for the second-straight year. It won this time, 42-26.

Thanks in part to two second half TD passes from Andrew Miller to Mike Preston (71 and 61-yard strikes), the Student Princes lead the Titans, 42-26 with about a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Student Princes trailed, 17-7 in the second quarter, before running off 21 straight points to take command.

On a day when Heidelberg's running game struggled to gain footing, Miller overcame two early picks to throw for 235 yards and three scores.

More to come in tomorrow's edition.
