TU softball gets regional bid

For the first time since it was an NAIA program, Tiffin University's softball team has reached a regional tournament.

The Dragons, on the strength of a 34-16 regular season record, were granted a berth in the Division II regionals at Ashland. Their first game will be Friday; no time has been set.

Ashland, like Tiffin, is a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school. Each were slated to participate in the GLIAC tournament last week, but rain washed it out.

The Dragons went 1-3 against the Eagles this year, The tournament will be double elimination.
