HU's Mike Preston signs with Titans

Mike Preston the star wide receiver, who played four seasons at Heidelberg, has signed a contract with the Tennessee Titans.

Preston, who played his senior season at HU last fall and just wrapped a season with the Arena Football League's Utah Blaze, signed this afternoon, the first day of NFL's free agent period following the lockout.

Preston, who stands 6-foot-4, reaked havoc on Ohio Athletic Conference defenses throughout his career, but particularly last season, when he caught 76 passes, 15 for touchdowns, and accumulated more than 1,200 yards receiving.

When he gets to the Tennessee camp, Preston will join a group of receivers that includes Nate Washington, who played college ball at Tiffin University.
