| | The once and future annexJanuary 18, 2012 - Rob WeaverThe Seneca County Courthouse Annex opened almost exactly eight years ago. Now that the 1884 courthouse is being razed, the annex no longer will be referred to as such in The A-T. At least for now. Eventually, the county likely will have a new building to house the two common pleas courts and the clerk of courts. If that happens, the juvenile and probate courts could move into space in the current courthouse which would be vacated by the common pleas courts. Then, the former annex could become the Seneca County Juvenile and Probate Courthouse ... which wouldn’t fit well into a headline, or even a lead paragraph. Because I don’t like the term “juvy” and dislike “proby” even more, we won’t be using those words, either. Which means, eventually, the former annex could be called the annex once again.
