FOOTBALL: The Calvert Athletic Department will have an informal meet-the-coach gathering for new coach Jim Kubuske after Tuesday’s practice, at 8 p.m. at the field house. * The Tiffin Football Officials Association will hold a class for prospective football officials beginning July 20. For more information, contact Brett Willoughby at (419) 455-5618 or bwilloughby10@woh.rr.com. * Football coach and Tiffin native Chris Hedden will host the Before The Glory Camp on July 10 at Don Mitchell Field in Hedges-Boyer Park for children in grades 1-8. The camp runs 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and is part of the Don Hall Memorial Weekend. Cost is $15, or $10 or each additional camper if pre-registered. Participants can pre-register at Cool Creations and Rodger’s Flowers. John Greco (St. Louis Rams), Bruce Gradkowski (Oakland Raiders) and Andrew Hawkins (4th and Long Spike TV) will be guest instructors. For information, call Hedden at (419) 350-7507.

Kagy, Hyde are all-star winners
Columbian’s Ethan Kagy and Fostoria’s Micah Hyde were on winning squads in all-star football games Saturday. Kagy helped the North to a 49-7 blowout over the South in 64th-annual coaches association all-star game at Ohio Stadium. In Hershey, Pa.
