Orientation day for Sentinel Career Center’s Adult Basic Education and GED program for the 2008-09 school year is Wednesday. All students, new or returning, must attend a mandatory orientation session before beginning ABLE/GED classes. Orientation is 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Students should plan to stay for the entire 2 1/2 hours session. Orientations is to be in room 245 of the Family Learning Center at Sentinel. Sentinel’s ABLE/GED program provides free services for adults who are at least 18 years of age such as basic literacy instruction, GED preparation and basic skills remediation classes. Classes begin Sept. 8. Subsequent orientations are to be offered at 12:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month or 5:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month. Classes are 12:30-3 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 5:30-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
