Pair of parishes planning festivals
NEW RIEGEL — All Saints Parish Festival at New Riegel this Sunday is offering a hot air balloon ride with the Rev. Randy Giesige during a 9:30 p.m. live auction. A GPS system for one’s automobile is another item available for bidding. The festivities last from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., serving lots of food. On the menu are barbequed chicken and ham dinners that include dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy and home-baked cakes and pies for dessert. Hamburgers, hot dogs and bratwurst sandwiches are also available. DJ Mike Time provides karaoke music throughout the day. An adult area can be found in the beer garden along with bingo and black jack. Activities for the children include a train ride, arcade, mini-golf, Christmas in August, Noah’s Ark and inflatable Cameron Caterpillar. At 4 p.m., the kiddie tractor pull begins. The inflatable Dual Slide and the Aqua Marine obstacle course plus “Flush the Fool” for older youngsters are expected to provide enjoyment.
