Upset with ACORN coverage

September 21, 2009
The Advertiser-Tribune

Dear Advertiser-Tribune,

I have been waiting for four days to see your news reporting on the recent scandals at ACORN and so far (unless I missed it somehow) you have not been the watchdog you are supposed to be. I have seen nothing to help inform the public of this organization's activities of using our tax dollars to support illegal activity. They have recieved hundreds of thousands of dollars and are on schedule to recieve millions more in thepresident's budget plans.

Here is an organization our president has been tied to who has had members plead guilty to voter fraud leading up to 400,000 false votes in 2008 and now being found to provide illegal counsel to people posing to be setting up prostitution of illegal underage girls for sex trade. Here is an organization that was going to be prominent in the taking of the next census, that now the census beaureau has now revoked because of the recent happenings at ACORN. Yet you do not feel it is newsworthy to report on to help inform the citizens in Seneca County so we can make informed choices at election time and voice our outrage? Again, if I missed it then I apologize ... but maybe it wasn't prominent, either?

Citizens ... you need to go to a news outlet that will inform you of such things.

Sincerely,

Dean E. Distel Jr.

Tiffin
