Emily Ann Petsche and James Steven Irwin were united in marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony May 8, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. Deacon Daniel Scherger was officiant for the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Camden Falls.
Emily is the daughter of the late Frederick and Elaine Petsche.
James is the son of Charles and Debbra Irwin of Britton, Mich.

Emily, given in marriage by her brothers, James and Donald Petsche, wore an ivory satin A-line gown by Oleg Cassini. Ruched pleating formed the V-shaped neckline and waist with twisted straps that extended over the shoulders to form an open deep V-shaped back. The floor-length skirt ended in a chapel train. She wore a bridal headpiece in silver accented with pearls and Swarovski crystals coupled with an ivory blusher and cathedral length veil with scattered pearls. She carried her maternal grandmother's rosary with a bouquet of ivory roses, pale green hydrangea and pearl-filled stephanotis tied with ivory satin ribbon.
Tammy Bryant of Tiffin served as her friend's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Andrea Hickey of Dundee, Mich., and Sara Whipple of Erie, Mich., sisters of the groom.
Attendants wore peridot chiffon floor-length dresses featuring a beaded empire waist and spaghetti straps. They carried a bouquet of white dahlias, ivory roses and green hydrangea tied with a peridot satin ribbon.
Ryan Huhn of Owosso, Mich., served as his friend's best man. Groomsmen were Dan Barron of Byron Center, Mich., and Randy Smith of Adrian, Mich., friends of the groom.
Emily is a 1994 graduate of Calvert High School and a 2007 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is a licensed social worker.
James is a 1996 graduate of Dundee High School and a 2000 graduate of Ferris State University. He is a factory sales representative for SMC Corp. of America in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Debbra Irwin and family hosted a couple's shower Feb. 27, 2010, at Dundee United Methodist Church. The bride's aunts, Mary Jean Tiell and Donna Letterhos, hosted a bridal shower March 20, 2010, at St. Joseph Activity Center.
The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents and took place at Camden Falls.
Following a honeymoon at the Westin Resort and Spa on the island of Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Britton, Mich.
