Leroy and Susie Shade are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. The couple was married Oct. 10, 1970, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Attica, by the Rev. Francis McCarthy.
Susie is the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Hornett. She worked at Sutton Bank for 40 years, retiring in October 2008.
Leroy is the son of the late Ernest and Grace Shade. He worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass for 43 years, retiring in May 2005.

They are parents of two children, Mark (Susan) Shade, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Virginia Beach, Va., and Michelle (Jason) Hoepf of Republic. Two grandsons and one stepgrandson complete their family.
