Generations Ministry of Old Fort Church is having a Christian women's conference, "Fall In Love," 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Great Hall at Heidelberg University.

Carol Pence and Becky Wilkinson are heading the committee for the event.

"We are excited to host it at the university, as it gives us the opportunity to invite the women students on campus as our guests. We already have many of the girls registered and some have invited their own mothers," Pence said.

The $20 registration fee includes a light breakfast and a noon luncheon. The church's Praise Band will provide music by local musicians Mike Sooy, Paul Grover, Dennis Cimo and Chris Martin.

Four guests have been booked:

Vocalist Kelly Connor Spallinger of Lima is to be the praise and worship leader. Coming from a musical family, she became a studio vocalist and recording artist at Gaither Studios. Her recordings are done in a variety of styles, including contemporary, traditional, inspirational, jazz and ballad. Having performed with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, she also is a Christian radio and television personality and has been host, producer and talent coordinator for a Christian music show on WTLW in Lima.

The keynote speaker, Leslie Norris Townsend, is a Christian comedian whose routine engages the audience as she offers her take on marriage, motherhood and balancing the various aspects of everyday, contemporary life. The host and producer of televised talent shows, "Dream Big" and "Wish Upon a Star," Townsend also organizes and hosts scholarship pageants in Ohio.

Roxie Craig, a speaker, teacher and writer, shares her tribulations and triumphs to inspire listeners.

Marcia Leaser is the published author of a new children's book series, "Frizzeldee Frog's Catastrophe." A grandmother, she works at a homeless shelter near her town and travels to the Dominican Republic to help the less fortunate.

More information is available online at www.generationsministry.com, including a registration form. Checks can be dropped off or mailed to Old Fort Church, 8108 E. Pleasant St., Old Fort, OH 44861.

Walk-ins will be accepted if space is available.

Pence said the event is open to women of any faith or denomination.
