Sears reopens at Westgate

October 18, 2010
By Cathy Willoughby, Correspondent

Another storefront has been filled at Westgate Village Shopping Center with Sears, which has been open for business for a week.

Formerly The Pharm, the employees of the appliance and hardware store are working to put finishing touches on the interior of the store while serving customer needs. Banners were placed on the front of the store Friday, announcing the store was open.

A Sears corporate employee said he did not know if the store was expected to carry new or different lines of merchandise. The new location does offer additional showroom and storage space with approximately 30,000 square feet.

Sears left its former location at Wolf Creek, 2437 W. Market St., Sept. 27, after 14 years. Employees are excited to be open in Tiffin, and are anticipating a re-grand opening celebration, to be announced.
