PLAIN CITY Cutting no-till costs, improving soil quality and growing profit margins with cover crops are to be the featured themes at this year's Ohio No-Till Conference 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Der Dutchman restaurant, 445 S. Jefferson Ave., Plain City.
Registration is $30 before Dec. 2 and $35 at the door. It is to include refreshments, lunch and conference materials. Participants may receive certified crop adviser credits.
The conference is sponsored by the Ohio No-Till Council in cooperation with Ohio State University Extension and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Preliminary topics are to include improving soil function through crop diversity, cover crops research results and managing vomitoxin in no-till.
No-till awards are to be presented, which honors the industry's top educator or researcher, business or industry, and no-till farmer.
