COLUMBUS Get a competitive edge in financial and operational management aspects of the farming at the 2011 Ohio Farm Management Conference.
The event, sponsored by Ohio State University Extension and Ohio State University's Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics, is to take place Jan. 25-26 at University Plaza Hotel in Columbus.
The conference is to focus on employee management, farm transition planning, the public perception of agriculture and agricultural and environmental policy. It is designed for livestock and row-crop producers, as well as agribusiness professionals.
Participants are to be able to attend six general sessions, and choose among 12 breakout sessions during the two-day conference.
Registration is $75 per person and $60 per additional employee or family member if paid before Jan. 7. After Jan. 7, the fee is $125 per person and $100 per additional employee or family member. Registration includes meals, conference proceedings and parking.
