Commodity loans are available for 2010 produced grains to producers who meet eligibility requirements.
The CCC Commodity Loan program enables producers to receive cash for their grain now and actually sell the grain at a later date.
Grain loans are available for grain stored either on farm or in commercial storage. The producer must retain beneficial interest in the commodity to use it as security for the loan, grain delivered under delayed price agreement would not qualify as title transferred to the elevator upon delivery.
Producers with grain stored in Seneca County may receive a loan disbursement of $5.11 per bushel of soybeans, $1.91 per bushel of corn and $1.88 per bushel of wheat.
Additional information on the Commodity Loan Program and other USDA programs is available by contacting Seneca County Farm Service Agency.
