John and Janet Wise celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family weekend at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky.
The Wises were married Jan. 28, 1961.
They are the parents of two children, Doug Wise and Tricia (Roger) Schock. Seven granchildren complete their family.

John retired from Whirlpool in 1999 and now works for Seneca County Commission on Aging.
Janet babysits children.
