The Banks

James and Barbara Banks are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2000 Broad Ave., Findlay.

The couple was married April 8, 1951, at First Baptist Church of Tiffin by the Rev. Clairmont Hoyt.

James retired as a sixth-grade teacher at Elmwood Schools.

Barbara is a homemaker.

They have six children, Becky Banks, Penny (Dennis) Sokol and John Banks, all of Findlay, Debby (Steve) Webb of Tooela, Utah, Betty (Trigg) Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Scott Banks of Tampa, Fla. They also have two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

They will be traveling to Tiffin by limo Sunday, April 17, as a family to visit the Junior Home grounds where James and his siblings spent their childhoods.
