Upper Sandusky job fair scheduled

UPPER SANDUSKY - Ohio Department of Development is planning its 11th annual Wyandot County Career Expo May 4 in conjunction with Job Solutions of Wyandot County, Upper Sandusky Chamber of Commerce and Wyandot County Economic Development.

The expo is for businesses that plan to hire in the next 12 months and participation is free.

The expo will be in a two-session format. The 11 a.m.-noon session will focus on Gov. John Kasich's Jobs Ohio initiative. Information also will be provided on ways businesses can receive incentives for new hires. Other economic development topics also will be discussed.

A light lunch will be provided free for participating businesses.

The 12:30-4 p.m. session is to be in a traditional job fair format. Businesses are invited to set up tables and have people on hand to answer questions and accept resumes. Businesses wishing to screen applicants on site will be given a more private location.

Food and refreshments will be available on site.
