Ashley Brose and Thomas Charek were united in marriage Oct. 2, 2010. The 1:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony took place at St. Monica St. George Catholic Church in Cincinnati with the Rev. Al Hirt officiating. A reception followed in the grand ballroom at The Phoenix in downtown Cincinnati.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Jill Brose of Fostoria.
The bridegroom is the son of Thomas Sr. and Susan Charek of North Royalton.

Ashley, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory satin, strapless gown with a drop waist and box pleats. The neckline and waistline were embellished with bugle beads, sequins and Swarovski crystal details. The gown also featured buttons down the back with a slight V-dip at the rear neckline and a chapel-length train. She wore a three-tier ivory veil accented with Swarovski crystals and silver beading. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and garnet glow calla lilies hand-tied with an ivory satin ribbon.
The attendants wore black satin, knee-length dresses with a draped strapless sweetheart neckline and natural waist with a draped skirt. They carried bouquets of garnet glow calla lilies hand-tied with a burgundy ribbon.
Karis Reinhart of Columbus was her friend's maid of honor. Attendants were Alaina Ritter of Tiffin, Shannon Berridge of Cincinnati, Jennifer Trump of Covington, Ky., and Val Buza of Blue Ash, friends of the bride.
Junior bridesmaid was Hannah Brose of Bowling Green and the flower girl was Madeline Rainey of Akron. Both are cousins of the bride.
Adam Case of Cincinnati was his friend's best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Brose of Fostoria, brother of the bride, and Steve Spaulding, Devin Trump and Tim Berridge of Cincinnati, friends of the groom.
The ring bearer was Adam Smelser of Risingsun, cousin of the bride.
Ashley is a 2004 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Cincinnati in 2009 and with a master's degree in nursing from Mount Saint Joseph in 2010. She is a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Cleveland Clinic.
Thomas is a 2000 graduate of North Royalton High School. He graduated with bachelor's degrees in construction management and civil engineering in 2006 from the University of Cincinnati. He is a project engineer for Turner Construction.
Honoring the bride with miscellaneous showers were her godmother, Susan Rainey, in July 2010 and Karis Reinhart in August 2010.
A rehearsal dinner was at Garfield Suites Hotel in Cincinnati.
After honeymooning in St. Lucia, the couple lives in Rocky River.
