Red Cross to host blood drive in memory of local resident

GREEN?SPRINGS - American Red Cross is to host a blood drive in memory of local resident Jeremy Shock today. The drive is to take place 2 p.m. 7 p.m.

Shock, who was 22 when he died, lost his life while serving in Iraq Nov. 19, 2006. Family and friends are asking everyone to donate blood in his honor this Memorial Day at the fifth annual Jeremy Shock Memorial blood drive.

Everyone who comes to give blood are to receive a Red Cross T-shirt and can enter to win a NASCAR ticket package to Michigan International Speedway June 19.
