CLYDE - The Volunteers, the U.S. Army's premier country-rock band, are to perform at 7:30 p.m. July 1, and already nearly 300 free tickets have been mailed to concert goers.

Clyde High School Auditorium is the venue for the concert, with seating for about 800.

Coupons for free tickets are available in The Clyde Enterprise, The Bellevue Gazette, and the RFD News Firelands Edition this month.

Sponsors request coupons be mailed with a self-addressed stamped envelope by June 20 to assure their return in the mail. Requests for up to four tickets with a self-addressed stamped envelope also may be mailed to: The Volunteers, P.O. Box 29, Clyde, Ohio 43410.

The Volunteers, a six-piece band, represents the United State Army Field Band. The performance will include country, rock and pop.

The U.S. Army show promoters ask that ticket holders be seated by 7:15 p.m. the night of the show. At 7:20 p.m., people showing up to wait on standby that evening are to be allowed to fill vacant seats.
