Membership and season ticket holders at this year's Seneca County Fair can expect to pay more for admission.
Instead of $18 per ticket, membership and season tickets will be $20 this year. David Hoover, Senior Fair Board member, said the decision to raise prices was made because other fairs are charging more for tickets. The board voted on the price increase, he said, and it was approved.
All other ticket prices will remain the same as last year, Hoover said, and children under the age of 9 will be admitted free.
There is no change to mechanical ride prices, Hoover said. Each ride will cost 50 cents.
Hoover also said some event judging has been changed for this year. The smaller exhibits, such as needlework and fine art, were to be judged a week before the fair starts. The changes were made to accommodate the schedule for Ohio State Fair, Hoover said.
