Melissa Marlene Widman and Tyler Kenneth Coffman of Akron announce their engagement and upcoming Aug. 27, 2011, wedding in Peninsula.
Melissa is the daughter of Robert and Marilynn Widman of Republic. She is a 2002 graduate of Calvert High School and works at Flagship Mortgage.
Tyler is the son of Joseph and Tracy Coffman of Copley. He is a 2003 graduate of Wadsworth High School and is attending Stark State College, with plans to graduate in 2012.
