Diane and Bill Hammer are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.
They were married Sept. 3, 1971, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, by the Rev. James Pieffer.
Bill is the son of Herbert and Rita Hammer. He works at Arnold Machining.

Diane is the daughter of Barbara Welty and the late Richard Welty. She is retired from Welty Financial Services.
They are parents of four children, Kristi (Jimmy) Jones, Dan (Andrea) Hammer and Lori (David) Rombach, all of Tiffin and Jeff Hammer of Columbus. They also have nine grandchildren.
The Hammers are to take a trip to the New England states later this year.
