Roxann Frances Scherger and Benjamin Robert Holcombe were united in marriage Friday, July 29, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont. A reception followed at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed, Gibsonburg.

The bride is the daughter of David and Ann Scherger of Fostoria.

The groom is the son Russell Holcombe of Perrysburg, Terry Carver of Bradner and the late Albert Carver.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown with crystal beading on the bodice and down the left side. The back of the dress featured a corset lace-up back with a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses with accents of crystals.

April Flinders of Findlay was her best friend's matron of honor.

Adam Holcombe of Rudolph was his brother's best man.

Roxann is a 2005 graduate of Fostoria High School, graduated in 2009 from Tiffin University with a bachelor's degree and in 2010 from TU with a master's degree. She is a program manager for an after-school youth program.

Benjamin is a 2000 graduate of Lakota High School and served five years in the U.S. Army.

Mother of the bride Ann Scherger and Lisa Mora hosted a miscellaneous shower April 30, 2011.
