Richard and Mabel Detterman are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married Sept. 28, 1951, at Grace EUB Church, Bucyrus.
They are the parents of five children, Chris of Bucyrus, Peggy (Steve) George of Bloomville, Susan of Tiffin, Inez (Rocky) Rakaukas of Monteagle, Tenn., and Marlene (Bernie) Cramer of Marion. Completing the family are 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The Dettermans' children are hosting an open house 2 p.m.-4 p.m. today at Kettle Run Great Room, 1780 Whetsone St., Bucyrus. The couple requests no gifts.
