The December edition of Seneca County Park District's Nature Walk Bird Talk is planned for 8 a.m. Dec. 3 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve. All ages are welcome to walk the trails, looking and listening for the sights and sounds of nature.
The walk is to last about 1 1/2 hours and qualifies for the walking stick program. Binoculars are helpful.
At 11 a.m. Dec. 3, Young Adventurers ages 6-12 are invited to make recycled baskets at Garlo preserve.
Garlo preserve is south of Bloomville on SR 19.
The park district's annual Luminary Walk is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at Zimmerman Nature Preserve, SR 18, next to Autumnwood Care Center. Join a group for a walk around the park lit by luminaries.

Sandusky County
Sandusky County Park District is to invite everyone to make a tin-punching Christmas decoration at 2 p.m. Dec. 6 during a "Meet Me at the Cabin" program at White Star Park Log Cabin, 5013 CR 65, Gibsonburg.
Join Linda Rose for the holiday program. Bring a hammer, gloves and a tea candle.
Also at the cabin, kids ages 5 and younger with an adult companion are invited to a "Kid's Christmas at the Cabin" program at 10 a.m. Dec. 8.
They are to learn how Christmas was celebrated in the 1850s and create a holiday decoration. Bring a hammer.

Hancock County
Amateur photographers are invited to participate in the Hancock County Park District's 16th annual photography contest. Submissions are due by noon Jan. 9 at the park office, 1424 E. Main Cross St., Findlay.
The 2011 contest brochure may be picked up at HPD headquarters, participating sponsor locations or downloaded from www.hancockparks.com.
More than $700 worth of prizes are to be awarded.
