Several classes for those interested in concealed carry or a firearm are coming up in December.
A single-day concealed carry class is set for Dec. 10. The class is to exceed the minimum 12-hour training requirements of Ohio Revised Code. Instructor, Kent Nord, is a National Rifle Association-certified instructor in basic pistol, personal protection in the home and home firearm safety.
Class participants are to complete the NRA basic pistol class and receive additional training on concealed carry/self-defense techniques. Also, the class is to spend at least two hours at a private range receiving individual instruction. The cost is $100.

John Weslow, an NRA-certified instructor, is to offer two single-day concealed-carry courses next month, Dec. 10 and Dec. 30. The course is to include personal protection classroom instruction, live fire on a range and NRA certification for basic pistol qualification.
Weslow also teaches hunter safety courses.
