Area photographers are invited to enter Tiffin Art Guild's second annual photography competition.
The contest is open to northwest and north central Ohio photographers, amateur or professional, age 16 and older. The entry deadline is Jan. 28.
The contest is to open with a reception at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Tiffin Art Guild Gallery, 178 S. Washington St. Cash prizes are to be awarded for best of show ($150), first prize color ($75), first prize black and white ($75), four category prizes ($50 each) and two honorable mentions ($25).
Entry fees are $15 for TAG members and $25 for non-members, which covers up to four entries.
Photos must be matted and framed with glass or rigid Plexiglas placed over the photo and matte. Entries may be no larger than 50 combined inches (height plus width) and should be ready for hanging (no one-hole hangers). The show is to run noon-4 p.m. Feb. 4-March 3 Tuesday through Saturday.
Entries may be dropped off at the TAG gallery noon-4 p.m. Jan. 27-28. Entry forms with fees can be submitted in advance by mail or in person. Membership in TAG is $25 per year, $50 per family and $15 for students.
