David J. and Ruthanne Hamilton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. An open house took place Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church, Tiffin, and the couple has a trip to Florida planned for a later date.
They were married Jan. 13, 1962, at Washington Street United Methodist Church, Tiffin, by the Rev. Wilbur Meizer.
David is the son of the late Helen and Carl Hamilton. He retired after 30 years of service at General Motors, Lordstown, and driving school bus part-time.

Ruthanne is the daughter of the late Ruth and Don Mowry. She is a homemaker.
They are parents of two sons, David E. Hamilton of Newton Falls and Mark A. (Debbie) Hamilton of Rootstown. Six grandchildren and one great-grandson complete the family.
