A fifth person has been arrested as part of a two-year undercover drug investigation in Fostoria.
Jeremy J. Finerd, 24, was arrested Wednesday after being indicted on charges of trafficking in marijuana, possession of criminal tools, three counts of trafficking in cocaine and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, according to court documents.
Four others who were indicted as part of the investigation were arrested Jan. 30 on charges that included trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin, trafficking in marijuana, possession of cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs, tampering with evidence, possession of criminal tools and obstructing official business.
They also all face a charge of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony.
The five face a total of 31 felony drug-related charges.
During the cocaine-related investigation, which began with street-level cocaine distributors and included mid-level distributors, more than $5,000 was confiscated by law enforcement.
