Alabaster Jar, is a Christian dance crew that originated in Victory Christian Fellowship's youth program called Turnaround in 2003. Headed and directed by Emily Distel, the group started with six dancers and has grown into two teams with 17 or more young women.
In 2007, Rebecca Shaffer, an alumni of the original crew, joined the coaching staff and has since graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in dance. In 2010, Natalie Vega, also an alumni of the crew, became a third coach. Guided by their leaders, this crew performs on a regular basis at their home, Turnaround, and has done many performances on the road.
The Coffee House is to open at 5 p.m. and operate throughout the evening, with a menu including sandwiches, so those who come early can have a beverage and a bite to eat before the performance, which is to begin at 6 p.m. An offering is to be taken for the performers.
