Regan Thomas, a Heidelberg University senior from Seneca Falls, N.Y., receives instruction from Mary Lee Creeger (left) of Volunteers of America's Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin. Thomas is required to do 40 volunteer hours for the service learning component of the honors program in which she is enrolled. She expressed interest in working one-on-one with residents at Autumnwood. Thomas also serves as a Big Sister for a Seneca County youth.
Creeger said Autumnwood has obtained 16 new adult volunteers over the past two months. Some help with trips, while other provide music or assist at parties and activities. Other people interested in volunteering at Autumnwood may contact Creeger at (419) 447-7151.
