BSA gives junior take on ‘Wonderland’

BELLEVUE - The Children's Theatre of Bellevue Society for the Arts is to present Disney's "Alice in Wonderland Jr." at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The musical is based on the 1951 Disney film.

This fast-paced stage adaptation of "Alice In Wonderland" features updated dialogue and new arrangements of such classic Disney songs as "I'm Late," "The Un-birthday Song" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

Grace Oddo is cast as Alice, with Addison Foreman as Small Alice and Hannah Koechley as Tall Alice. Stephanie Halm portrays Mathilda. The Chesire Cats are Matt Luc, Aiden Hayward and Joshua Higgins. Ethan Washburn plays the White Rabbit, while Megan Batey and Emma Rice are cast as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, respectively. The roles of Mat Hatter, March Hare, Queen and King of Hearts are filled by Trevor Schaffer, Grace Booze, Sierra Walker and George Schaffer, respectively.

Other area children with roles in the show include Emma Rice, Jalicia Ruttino, Ashlyn Smythe, Alli Scott, Megan Coan, Alicia Colvin, Madison Cummings, Samuel Merritt, Ashley Light, Elizabeth Harper, Ella Little and Kirsten Talley.

The flowers are played by Morgan Cummings, Sage Garcia, Ella Little, Emma Laughlin, Ashley Light and Alazia Sprohar. The Un-birthday guests are Syndey Coe, Paul Coffelt, Ireland Gillespie, Katherine Jarrett, Dominic Prenatt, MiKayla Michaels and Xavier Walker. Cast as rock lobsters are Benjamin Coffelt, Deven Garcia, Derek Horvath, Skyler Coe, Lottie Arnold. The Wonderland creatures are Caitlin Carolus, Maren Coffelt, Dhanyata Hardman, Tammy Hardman, Katelyn Hessler, Mackenzie Jarrett, Emma Knudsen, Perla Monreal, Zarean Sprohar, Caitlin Stegman and Annie Keenan. Little mushrooms are played by Lilly Arnold, Logan Hayward, Jessica Jarrett and Gabby Russell.

Disney's "Alice in Wonderland Jr." is directed by Danielle Hayward.
