Lofton-Rice

Ann Lofton and Derell Rice were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Tiffin. The Rev. Gail Angel and the Rev. Nathan Howe were officiants during the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Somerset Reception Hall, Tiffin.

Ann is the daughter of Mervin Jr. and Molly Lofton of Tiffin.

Derell is the son of the late Marnise Rice.

Ann, given in marriage by her father, wore a halter, floor-length white gown that featured beading. She wore a red-and-black flower in her hair and carried a bouquet of red roses.

Marissa Housden of Phoenix and Lindsay Cutrell of Cincinnati served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Criblez of Tiffin, cousin of the bride; Markeita Dillard of Cleveland, sister of the groom; and Amanda Seabolt-Martin of Swanton, Jackie Davis of Salem, Ind., and Vanesa Evers of Conyers, Ga., friends of the bride. They wore floor-length black dresses of their choice.

Alex Lofton of Columbus, cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid and Jordyn Lofton of Columbus served as flower girl.

Michael Holley of Cleveland was his friend's best man. Groomsmen were Dorian Hoover of Houston and Duane David of Salem, Ind., friends of the groom; Matthew Lofton of Tiffin, brother of the bride; Steve Voit of Tulsa, Okla., friend of the groom; and Stephen Baker Jr. of Cleveland, nephew of the groom.

Marqueze Rice of Dayton, son of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Ann is a 2001 graduate of Columbian High school and a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is aquatics director at Gamble Nippert YMCA, Cincinnati.

Derell attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School, Dayton, and is a student at University of Cincinnati studying marketing. He is a counselor at Gamble Nippert YMCA and a customer service employee for LaRosa's, Cincinnati.

Bridal showers were thrown by Ann's aunt, Susan McGonnell, and maid of honor, Lindsay Cutrell.

The rehearsal dinner took place at the church.

The couple lives in Cincinnati.
