Dinner dance to benefit EMS
NEW RIEGEL - The American Legion Hall in New Riegel is the venue for a chicken or pork chop dinner and dance Saturday.
Friends of New Riegel EMS are sponsoring the event to benefit the EMS department. Serving is 5-7:30 p.m. A DJ is to provide music and square dancing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for guests age 18 and older.
Admission is $13 in advance and $15 at the door for the dinner and dance. Carry-out dinners are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Dance-only tickets are $5 at the door.
Band concert on tap Sunday
FOSTORIA - Fostoria Community Band is to present a spring concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School.
The band's repertoire includes marches, movie tunes, songs from Broadway musicals, hymns, folk tunes and old-time favorites.
Refreshments will be served during intermission. Donations will be accepted to support the band.

Star Kids to take registrations
UPPER SANDUSKY - The Star Players of Upper Sandusky are to host a registration session for its Star Kids Theatre Workshop for the 2012 season.
Star Kids is a hands-on, educational theater experience for students. This will culminate in a showcase where students perform short skits, plays or songs to show what they have learned.
Registration is 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky. A parent or guardian needs to be present to fill out paperwork. The workshop is open to children enrolled in grades 1-6. Children residing in any county or school district are eligible.
Registration fee is $40; a maximum of 35 children will be accepted into this year's program.

Spring concert planned
FINDLAY - The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale is to give its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
Micheal F. Anders is to direct the choir when they perform selections from the musical, "Kismet."
Eggs will roll in Fremont
FREMONT - The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center is having its annual Easter Egg Roll 2-3:30 p.m. April 7.
Children ages 3-10 are invited to enjoy a White House tradition started in 1878 by President Rutherford B. Hayes. Participants need to boil and color three eggs as an entry fee to a variety of "rolling" contests on the lawn in front of the home.
Prizes are to be awarded in four age groups.
Festivities also include free balloons, admission passes and visits with the Easter Bunny.

SANDUSKY - Sandusky State Theatre is searching for directors, choreographers, musical directors, stage managers, assistant stage managers and costumers for its 2012 season productions.
Main stage productions for 2012 include "Always Patsy Cline," July 19-21; "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat," Aug. 16-18; and "Honky Tonk Angels," Oct. 18-20
Children's workshop productions for 2012 include Disney's "The Jungle Book" Kids, June 29; Disney's "Godspell Jr.," July 26 and 27; "Annie Jr.," Dec. 8.
