Square dance coming

FREMONT - It's square dance night at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed, 1375 N. SR 590, Gibsonburg, 8 p.m.-midnight April 13. The local band Saw Buck is to call the squares.

Tickets are sold only in advance for $13 each and include soft drinks, chips, pretzels and popcorn. The doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Annual egg roll Saturday

FREMONT - The annual Easter Egg Roll is set for 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center.

Children ages 3-10 are invited to experience a White House tradition started in 1878 by President Hayes. Participants need to boil and color three eggs as an entry fee to a variety of rolling contests on the lawn in front of the home. Prizes are to be awarded in four age groups.

Piano concert scheduled

FINDLAY - In an encore appearance, eight area pianists are to sit down at four pianos, combining forces to entertain those who love to listen to piano music by presenting "80 Fingers of Praise" at 7 p.m. April 14 at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Findlay.

Pianists for this concert are Ann Cramer, Barbara Dysinger, Shirley Nebergall, Kelly Lewis, Jim Scothorn, Julie Huffman, Mikyung Moon, Hyo-Eun Jang and Bev Roby.

Also appearing will be a piano quartet of youth pianists showcasing the talents of Jenna Lewis, Tom Rowles, Kristina Jeon and Grant Schrum.

The concert is free and a freewill offering will be taken.

'Stars' to step up for CASA

FREMONT - CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties is to sponsor the second "Sandusky County Stars Dancing for CASA."

The fundraiser is set for 7 p.m. April 14 at The Heights, 2000 Buckland Ave., Fremont. Patterned after the national TV show, "Dancing with the Stars," this benefit is to showcase the hidden talents of area celebrities.

Each participant is teamed with an experienced dancer from Black Tie Dance Studio or Dance N Style, both from Sandusky.

Funds raised will be used for recruiting, screening, training and supervising CASA volunteers.

Tickets are available for $30 at the CASA office in Fremont, 500 W. State St., Suite D; and in Tiffin, 21 Court St.

Model train show planned

BUCYRUS - The Bucyrus Model Railroad Association is to host the 26th annual Train Show and Swap Meet 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 14 at Crawford County Fairgrounds in Bucyrus. Two buildings are to be open for the show.

Model trains of all gauges, supplies, scenery, books, films, memorabilia and other items are to be on display. Food is to be available.

Admission is $4 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.

Clyde to host ventriloquist

CLYDE - Communities for the Arts in Clyde is to present the comedy vetriloquist Lynn Trefzger at 7:30 p.m. April 14 in the auditorium at Clyde High School, 1015 Race St., Clyde.

Trefzger's family-friendly show includes a collection of zany puppet characters.

Terra to present jazz concert

FREMONT - Terra State Community College's "Music on Sunday" series continues at 4 p.m. April 15 in Terra's Recital Hall, Building D, on the Napoleon Road campus.

The Terra Jazz Combos and Contemporary Music Ensemble are to perform.
