Music in the air
with TU ensembles
Tiffin University is to present free concerts Friday and Saturday in Osceola Theatre in the Gillmor Student Center.
The Tiffin University Choir and Band Spring Concert is 8 p.m. Friday in Osceola Theatre.
Comprised of 100 students, The University Choirs are to perform traditional choral and contemporary popular music for mixed choir, women's choir and men's choir. McKayela Collins conducts the women's choir selections and Brad Rees conducts the mixed and men's choir pieces.
Directed by Nellene Arnett, the Gospel Choir is to perform several contemporary gospel selections.
The Chamber Arts Ensemble has a modified concert band instrumentation and performs selections from the silver screen. Doug Neel conducts the Chamber Arts Ensemble.
Saturday at 7:30 p.m., the TU Kids Choir and the TU Crew Dance Team are to present spring performances. The Kids Choir performs a variety of popular songs and is directed by Ali Rees.
The TU Crew performs dance pieces in a variety of styles, including modern, jazz, hip-hop and lyrical. The TU Crew is directed by Erika Handru and Sarah Raber.
Both concerts are free.
Take time for tea
A few seats are available for the Victorian tea is at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Grammes-Brown House, 172 Jefferson St.
Entertainment is to be provided by the musical duet of Barbara Specht on clarinet and Vicki Ohl on piano. Guests may tour the historic home before and after the program.

Browns Backers
host cancer benefit
Tiffin Browns Backers are planning a spaghetti dinner and reverse raffle Saturday in Tiffin Eagles ballroom.
The doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 5:30 and a reverse raffle at 6:30 p.m. The grand prize is $1,000, with lesser prizes totaling $2,250.
Dinner includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs, salad and bread. A cash bar is to be available. Proceeds are to benefit Tiffin Relay For Life.

Ritz events coming
The Ritz Theatre in Tiffin has two events scheduled this weekend.
Saturday, Rosanne Cash is to bring her duo show with husband, John Leventhal, to The Ritz stage. The concert is to cover songs from throughout her career, including selections from "The List," her 2009 CD inspired by what her father, Johnny Cash, considered "essential country songs."
Tickets range from $30 to $60.
Sunday at 2 p.m. is the next Read It - See It Film, "Jane Eyre."
This is the 2011 film based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte. Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender and Jamie Bell star in this romantic tale of a young governess who falls in love with her brooding employer. Rated PG-13, the movie runs 120 minutes. All seats are $3.

Dueling Pianos back
Camden Falls is to host a performance of "Dueling Pianos" at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. A VIP party table for 10 is $175, which includes reserved seating, appetizers and a beer swag.

Jazz show planned
