Drive-in to open Friday
The Field of Dreams Drive-In, Tiffin, is to open for the season Friday.
The box office opens at 7:30 p.m., with "The Avengers" starting at 8:55 p.m. "John Carter" is the second film to be shown. Both movies are rated PG-13.
Tickets are $10.
Ritz shows planned
The Ritz Theater, 30 S. Washington St., has a busy weekend planned.
Friday Night Live is to feature Jim Gill of Cleveland and Mike Risner, the regular performer for Jam Night at Carmie's. A third act may also appear at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
All seats are $10.
Good seats still are available for the country music trio, Gloriana, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range from $20 to $55.
"Eat, Pray, Love" is to be shown at 2 p.m. Sunday as part of the ongoing "Read It-See It" program.

Collegians to perfrom
The Heidelberg University Singing Collegians, a chamber vocal ensemble, is to present its annual home concert at 8 p.m. Saturday in Ohl Concert Hall.
Under the direction of Greg Ramsdell, the Collegians are to present a repertoire drawn from the Broadway, Hollywood and popular music traditions, bringing them to life through singing and choreography.
The concert is free.
TAG members win show
FINDLAY - Harry Melroy and Leslie Rohr Scherer, Tiffin Art Guild members, are to receive awards when the Findlay Art League opens its 64th annual May Show.
An open house and reception is set for 5-9 p.m. Friday, and the gallery is to be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with the Arts Partnership ArtWalk. Awards are to be presented at 7 p.m. Friday.
Best of Show went to Jessica Summers for "Preparing the Roots," oil; first place, Robert Minto,"Our Mr. Smith," stoneware; second place, Harry Melroy, "Wood War," graphite; third place, Jeanne Beutler, "Bottles and Corks," acrylic; Honorable mentions went to Leslie Rohr Scherer, "October," pastel; Ed Corle, "Jar Wave Drop," stoneware; Randy Bennett, "Childhood Mirage," mixed media; Scott Sherman, "Desoto in Woods," pen and ink; and Jessica Summers, "Flea Market Fiesta Ware," oil.
Co-chairwomen for the May Show are Connie Weasel and Teresa Lambert. The judge for the show was Sara Schleicher, coordinator of fine arts admissions and promotions at Bowling Green State University.
FAL's May Show is to be open through June 1 in its gallery, 117 W. Crawford St., Findlay. The hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
'Pirates' asail again
UPPER SANDUSKY - The Star Players are to give three more performances of "The Pirates of Penzance," at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Another weekend of performances is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday.
David Bacon is directing the Gillbert and Sullivan comic opera.

Sunday bingo on tap
The Red Cross is to offer a "Big Bucks Bingo" Sunday at Tiffin Mall.
The doors open at 11 a.m., early birds start at 2 p.m. and regular bingo starts at 3 p.m. Bingo packages are to be sold, and the payouts are to be larger than the Wednesday games.
In addition, a 47-inch television is to be raffled and gas cards are to be given as door prizes.
