Scholarships awarded

North Central Electric awarded scholarships as part of its scholarship award programs. Collin Snyder, 18, of New Riegel High School, and Marla Richards, 18, of Buckeye Central High School, took top honors. Snyder is the son of John and Denise Snyder of Carey. Richards is the daughter of Gary and Cynthia Richards of New Washington.

In the same competition, two scholarships were awarded to Kaleb Grine, 18, of Bridges Community Academy, and Marissa Willman, 17, of Seneca East High School. Grine is the son of Mark Grine and Lori Arnold-Grine of Tiffin. Willman is the daughter of Christopher and Dana Willman of Attica.

The cooperative awarded a Touchstone Energy Achievement scholarship to Austin Burns, 18, of Hopewell-Loudon High School. Burns also was awarded a scholarship at the state level from the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives competition in April. He is the son of David and Brenda Burns of Fostoria.
