Sarah Feasel and Kirubel "Kiru" Aklilu, both of Alexandria, Va., have announced their engagement and approaching Aug. 31, 2012, wedding in Woodstock, Vt.
Sarah is a registered dietitian and clinical specialist for Abbott Nutrition. She graduated in 1997 from Calvert High School and earned a bachelor's degree in dietetics from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in nutrition education from Columbia University. She is enrolled in a doctorate program at The University of New Jersey Medicine and Dentistry.
Sarah is the daughter of Jim Feasel and Suzie Feasel of Tiffin.

Kiru is a configuration management specialist and software engineer for Hewlett Packard. He graduated from International Community School of Abidjan High School in 1997 and from Virginia Tech with bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering.
Kiru is the son of Aklilu Afework and Tarik Mekit of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
