NEW YORK "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" is hitting the road this summer to hold contestant auditions for the upcoming 11th season of the show. Toledo is one of six cities that they will visit.
Wednesday, 13 ABC is to welcome "Millionaire" producers for contestant auditions at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons, 6165 Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg.
Auditions consist of a timed multiple choice test and for those people who pass, an interview with one of the show's producers. Two audition sessions are to be held. The first session is to start at 7 a.m., with tests being given through 10 a.m. Call-back interviews for the morning auditions are to take place noon-3 p.m. The second session is to begin at 5 p.m. and continue through 7 p.m.
Call-back interviews for evening auditions are to take place immediately after each test session. The last session of the day is to begin at 7 p.m. and test contestants exclusively for "Movie Week," a specialty series featuring film buffs answering movie-themed trivia. Producers also plan to audition college students throughout the day to be considered for "College Week." Auditioners are to be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and producers plan to audition as many people as they can throughout the day.
In order to audition in Toledo, participants must be at least 18 years old a U.S. resident and pass all other eligibility rules, which can be found on "Millionaire's" website at www.millionairetv.com. Auditioners must bring photo identification with them as proof of age and residency.
Toledo was one of six cities selected for "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" auditions. Producers also are to visit Chicago July 9, Norfolk, Va. July 13, Houston July 23, Las Vegas July 25 and New Orleans July 27.
