Music show to benefit area food pantry

FREMONT - The third edition of "Tuning Up For Food" is to take place Saturday and Sunday at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds. Area musicians and entertainers are to take the stage 1-4 p.m. both days to benefit the Sandusky County Food Pantry.

All live entertainment is free, and open to the general public. Non-perishable food donations are requested. Monetary donations to the food pantry also are to be accepted at the show. Those making a donation are to be entered into drawings for gift certificates and prizes donated by local businesses.

Saturday's 1 p.m. show is to feature performances by area entertainer, Sue Sebetto, Billy Lee and other special guests.

Sunday, an All Star Country Jamboree is set for 1 p.m., featuring country music artists and entertainers from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The show is to include Art and Betty Walker, Dean Morrow, Dave Kitchen, Ken Turner, Mike Hall, Jim Sleek, Ray Sleek, Billy Lee, Mike Rose, Ron Denninger and several others.

Organizers say as many as 21 country musicians and entertainers have been invited to perform throughout the afternoon.

The family-friendly shows take place in conjunction with the Sandusky County Flea Market, which is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Those attending the shows are invited to bring seating.
