All Saints Parish Festival in New Riegel is Aug. 10 and 12 with the Frenchtown Social following on Aug. 19.
All Saints' Parish opens the doors at 6 p.m. Friday for a dance at 7:30 p.m. with Rutherford Country providing the music. The dance is $5 for people 21 and older. A beer garden and refreshments are available.
A cornhole tournament is Friday evening also. Teams may contact the parish at (419) 595-2567 for registration or questions.
Sunday activities begin at noon with barbecued chicken, pork chops and ham on the menu with home-baked cakes and pies. Booths are open 1-9 p.m. Inflatable Cameron Caterpillar returns with Noah's Ark and other games for children.
Older youth can try the Aqua Extreme obstacle course, Dual Slide and Bungee Run. Teens 13-17 years old may participate in the rat race and Minute-to-Win-It.
The beer garden will be open Sunday, with black jack and bingo available.
Throughout the weekend, a silent auction will be in progress featuring items including Ohio State memorabilia.
Several raffles include a 50/50, a craft raffle, a $5,000 pot and one with 134 prizes totaling $6,905.77.
Frenchtown parish celebrates 1-5 p.m. Aug. 19.
Following a Mass at noon, the "best pan-fried chicken in Seneca County" is on the menu along with cube steak. Home-baked desserts also are available.
Games are available for children. Stands are to offer ice cream, sodas and sandwiches.
A beer garden is to be open, with black jack and bingo available.
No raffles or auctions are to be conducted.
All Saints parish is at 41 W. Perry St. (SR 587) and Frenchtown parish is on CR 6.
