BASCOM - The Hopewell-Loudon Board of Education met in special session Wednesday to approve contracts for certified, classified and administrative personnel.
Three-year contracts for the teachers and the support staff include salary increases of two percent in the first year, one and a half percent in the second year and one percent in the final year of the contract. The employees' medical insurance deductibles have been increased. Other contract language follows the state's model for evaluation.
Following a pay freeze, administrators are to receive pay raises between two and five percent.
High school and middle school students may pick up their class schedules after paying class fees Aug. 14. Students with last names between A and L should come at 4:30 p.m. and M-Z at 6:30 p.m. Elementary students may meet their teachers and pay their fees Aug. 16.
Bus routes are to be announced at the Back to School nights.
Supplemental contracts and volunteers were approved by the board.
The board moved into a work session following the close of the board meeting.
The board is to meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. Aug 22.
